Dixie Vandersluys completed her Master of Arts in Counselling at Providence Theological Seminary in 2014. Much of the focus of her graduate work was on death, dying, grief, and the issues of those facing end of life.
Receiving a B.A. in History and Philosophy from the University of Regina in 2001, Dixie learned to think deeply and the value of the past.
Growing up the daughter of a wills and estates lawyer, from a young age Dixie has been aware of the many needs people encounter at the end of life. It seems that most of her life and education has been leading her to this type of work.
Dixie is an associate professional counsellor with PACCP and completed her Dignity Therapy training in June of 2015.
On a personal level, Dixie is wife to one pastor and mother of three quickly growing children. She enjoys music and movies, reading and writing, colouring, quiet days at home, and volunteering in various ways in the community.
